General Physics Corporation Partners With Centralia College Center of Excellence for Energy Technology to Award College Credits for GPiLearn Courses

Elkridge, MD. July 29, 2008. Global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), a subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), announced today a new partnership with Centralia College Center of Excellence for Energy Technology. This partnership enables Centralia College students an opportunity to earn college credits for the GPiLearn training programs that are incorporated in the college curriculums. 

Over 200 of the GPiLearn lessons have been approved for college credit by Centralia College Center of Excellence for Energy Technology. This new partnership allows GPiLearn to help more students obtain a college degree. With today’s demanding work schedules, online training offers individuals another avenue to earn their degrees.  Including this new partnership, over 40% of the GPiLearn courses have now been approved for college credit by three institutions of higher learning. 

GPiLearn is an online training portal that provides learning solutions for the power industry. There are over 3,200 lessons and exams available on GPiLearn. By using GPiLearn, industry clients can create custom curricula for their personnel using blended learning solutions and colleges can expand their course offerings with GPiLearn’s online content. Curricula can include classroom courses, oral boards, job performance measures, comprehensive exams, as well as GPiLearn lessons and exams. Centralia College Center of Excellence for Energy Technology has been helping to develop qualified applicants for the energy industry for over four years and has been identified by the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges as a leader in workforce education.
