Digital transformation is more about the transition to the Internet of Things, harvesting Big Data and Analytics, and having all of that data readily available to analyze and make better business decisions. That might be technology on the factory floor to monitor and maintain equipment. It might be technology to improve productivity. Or, it might be tools to monitor the return on investment of a training program.
What might be easier is to talk about what digital transformation is not.
